Specialised Welding Australia has recently completed the fabrication of Frond Mattress Lifting Frames for the Subsea 7 Barossa Project, which included 2 Lift Frames, 19 Transfer Frames, and MDF Bumpers. The fabrication process adhered to the specifications outlined in DNV-ST-E273, with welding conducted in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards, and painting executed following NORSOK M-501 System 7B guidelines. Rigorous load testing, in alignment with DNV Class R30, was successfully carried out.

In addition to the frames, SWA provided all necessary rigging gear and assembly components essential for the Subsea operation of these structures.

The project was completed within the designated timeframe as per the client's schedule, with particular emphasis on fabrication of Bumpers in a remarkable 3-day timeframe to circumvent challenges posed by interstate road closures during delivery.

We would like to thank all the project execution facilitators at Subsea 7 for their professionalism and prompt actions to ensure that all schedules were met and any adjustments were formalised promptly to avoid any delays.
